I had a coworker say to me, "I am glad you are back, you bring light into every room that you enter". This compliment made me melt and as a puddle I was instantly motivated--Motivated to ensure that I was living up to such a grand statement. I follow the campsite rule, "Leave it better than you found it". I apply the campsite rule to my work, my relationships, and my overall legacy in the world--I seek excellence in being a presence for betterment. I am captivated by storytelling, psychology, connection, and detailed design.

I have over 15+ years experience as a freelance designer, artist, consultant, and production manager. I enjoy the hustle and collaborative problem-solving that accompanies a fast-paced adaptable environment.

I gravitated towards design because it is a field in which all of my interests merged-storytelling, art, reading, and psychology. I approach design with a value towards the story and what those characters represent. I love the study of humans and their behaviors in conjunction with how that translates in to their appearance. The design comes alive in the details!

Alongside my freelance business, I currently work as an Assistant Professor-Tenure Track in Design, Tech, and Management. I have full teaching and creative load with the additions of promotions to DTM Faculty Lead and Production Manager. I gravitated towards teaching because I believe that the most meaningful way to success is by helping others succeed.

When I am not working, I enjoy being active and doing things that I am not always the best at so I can practice making mistakes and grow in learning and vulnerability. You can find me kayaking, trying to stand up on a paddle board, going slower than molasses on a mountain bike, and playing with my dog named Bananas.
